Throughout the pages of this blog, we’ll be analyzing amateur YouTube videos that offer self-beautification tips, e.g., how-to cut your own bangs or how-to get plumped lips with a specific attention given to the emergence of new opinion leaders and their influence on consumer behavior. We’ll look at YouTube user comments and video responses to gain perspective about how ordinary people, or Jane Does, are influencing what people buy.
